Since we depend almost entirely on donations we have prepared the following
list for those who might wish to contribute. These are guidelines only and the
list is by no means comprehensive. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for
any help you can provide.
Infant Formula: Our most critical need. Powdered, all
brands. Yes, we can use formula past its expiration date. Please do not send
us liquid formula as most of our clients do not have a refrigerator.
Infant and Children’s and Vitamins:
Pre-Natal Vitamins, Folic Acid and Adult Multivitamins
Pedialyte or other electrolyte balanced drinks
Antibiotic cream, any brand
Infant and Children’s and Adult Tylenol or other brand fever
reducer
Cough medicine: Children and adults
Infant, Children’s or Adult Antibiotics: Liquid or
powdered and tablets
Baby Clothes: New or used, in good condition
Childrens’ clothes: Any size in good condition, shoes as well to
prevent parasites
New white socks for girls and boys, any size and
childrens’underwear (any style or color)
Baby blankets and receiving blankets and under-pads: Used
in good condition is fine
Disposable Diapers: All sizes (Used in rainy season when
we have no way to dry cloth diapers)
Cloth Diapers, diaper pins, rubber pants: Used, in
good condition, is fine.
Baby Bottles, Nipples, bottle brushes etc.
Small Infant Toys, stuffed animals or Other Baby Items: These
are given as gifts to encourage pregnant women to be tested.
Little girls hair bows, elastics and barrettes: this is a
culture where women take great pride in doing their childrens hair
beautifully
Children’s small toys, stickers or coloring books and crayons.
Given to siblings during home visits or testing clinics’ and at Christmas.
Miscellaneous Medical Supplies: Just about
anything. If we cant use it we donate it to the hospital here that is in
need of almost everything.
Soaps, lotions, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo, makeup,
perfume samples etc. Used to help women feel better about
themselves
Sheets and towels: any size but in good condition please
Condoms: Latex only. Any brand
Printer cartridges for HP Officejet 5610ix
All-In-One printer
Paper (any kinds or color), pens, and any office supplies to keep
our office running
Backpacks and school supplies, pens, pencils, paper, notebooks,
crayons etc. : used for affected children to go to school.
Food. Peanut butter in plastic jars.
We encourage visitors to pack whatever they can in whatever
extra space they have in their suitcases. Every little bit helps. U.S. or
Canadian donors can send packages to a shipping company in Florida, which has
very kindly agreed to help us get them here. If you have one or two boxes send

Of course cash donations are most helpful to us and will be issued an
American or Canadian tax receipt. You may send checks or money orders to our
parent charity in Canada. The check should be made payable to 'The Down
Land Foundation'. They deposit 100% of the amount in our internal account.
